Denise Sewell's Danny, Mario and Me launched in Castleblayney
Denise Sewell's new novel, Danny, Mario and Me, was launched to a great reception in the Íontas Centre in Castleblayney this week.
John McArdle, the artistic director of Íontas Theatre launched the book to a packed room. Speaking about the book, John praised the dialogue, which he said portrayed Danny's character well from the outset, and the exemplary characterisation. John commented that it 'hit the nail on the head' in portraying Danny as an introvert masquerading as an extrovert and dealt sensitively with the issue of young male suicide.
Local youth, Martin McElroy, read an extract from the book.
The book is available from www.newisland.ie and from good bookshops nationwide.
