Aislinn Hunter
Aislinn Hunter was born in Belleville, Ontario, and lived in Dublin, Ireland, for a few years before making her home in British Columbia. She is the author of What’s Left Us, a collection of short stories and a novella, winner of a ForeWord Magazine Award medal and shortlisted for the Danuta Gleed Award. Her poetry collections include Into the Early Hours (2001), winner of the Gerald Lampert Award and shortlisted for the Dorothy Livesay Prize, and The Possible Past (2005).
Stay, her first novel, was published in Ireland by New Island in 2003 and was shortlisted for the presigious Amazon/Books in Canada Prize in 2003.
In 2009 she published a collection of expiremental essays, A Peepshow with Views of the Interior.
