Vincent Banvile is a writer, critic and journalist living in Dublin. His first novel, An End to Flight, won the Robert Pitman Literary Prize. He is also the author of  childrens books, the Hennessy series, along with several crime novels, including Death by Design and Death the Pale Rider. He is the crime fiction reviewer for the Irish Times.

He has contirbuted to New Island's successful Open Door series with Sad Song and An Accident Waiting to Happen.
