Eugene McEldowney
Eugene McEldowney was born in Belfast and educated at Queen's University. He enjoyed a long career as a journalist with The Irish Times, and began to write fiction in 1994.
His bestselling The Faloorie Man (New Island, 1999) is a novel based on his wife’s true-life story of adoption and eventual reconciliation. The follow-up, Stella’s Story (New Island, 2002), is the fictional conclusion to this true-life drama.
