Submissions

New Island Books is happy to accept unsolicited manuscripts for consideration. We publish literary and quality fiction, as well as non-fiction of Irish interest, drama and poetry. We do not publish children's books.

We receive a high volume of submissions each year, and it can take us several months to respond. Our resources do not allow us to comment on individual submissions.

Our preference is for submissions to be sent to us by email as Word (.doc or .docx file) attachments. The contact email address is: editor [at] newisland [dot] ie From this point on we will no longer be accepting paper submissions. 

Please include a one-page synopsis of what the book is about, a short covering letter and a sample of the text. Please include details of any previous publications.
