Walter Macken

Macken wrote short stories, plays, and novels from the age of eight. He married Peggy Kenny in 1937, and soon after produced his first play, The Children of the Moon. Between 1939 and 1947 alone he produced 77 play productions. After his success as a playwright, he settled down to write a novel, The Bogman (1952), and published six more novels later in life.
