Theo Dorgan

Theo Dorgan was born in Cork but has made his home in Dublin for many years.  Poet, editor, broadcaster, translator and prose writer, he has also written scripts for film documentaries and worked as a presenter of literature programmes on radio and television for over twenty-five years. He is the 2010 recipient of the Lawrence O’Shaughnessy Prize for Irish Poetry (USA). Formerly Director of Poetry Ireland/Éigse Éireann and a member of The Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon, Theo Dorgan is a member of Aosdána
