Fintan O'Toole

Fintan O'Toole is a columnist and drama critic for The Irish Times. He has written several books and works of criticism, including The Politics of Magic: The Work and Times of Tom Murphy (Raven Arts Press, 1987) and the following with New Island: Black Hole, Green Card: The Disappearance of Ireland (New Island, 1994); Macbeth & Hamlet (New Island, 1995); The Ex-Isle of Ireland: Images of a Global Ireland (1997); The Lie of the Land: Irish Identities (1998); After The Ball (TASC/New Island, 2003); and Post Washington: Why America Can't Rule the World (TASC/New Island, 2005). His most recent book is the bestselling Ship of Fools (2009).
