Eamon Delaney
Eamon Delaney lives in Dublin where he is an author and freelance journalist, contributing to a variety of newspapers, magazines and radio programmes. In 1995, he published a novel, The Casting of Mr. O’Shaughnessy, which was reissued by New Island in 2001. He later published an acclaimed account of his years as a diplomat, An Accidental Diplomat: My Years in the Irish Foreign Service 1987-1995 (New Island, 2001). He has been editor of the latest incarnation of Dublin news and opinion magazine Magill Magazine since its re-launch in late 2004, and published Breaking the Mould, a memoir of his father, sculptor Edward Delaney, with New Island in 2009.
