David Lynch
David Lynch is an award winning journalist with a wide range of experience in regional, national and international press. His work has appeared in numerous publications including Magill, Village, Sunday Business Post and Daily Ireland.
He has travelled, studied and worked in the occupied Palestinian territories and in the wider Middle East. This is his second book; his first was a historical study that focused on the early political life of James Connolly.
In 2007 Lynch was named the national Irish winner in the prestigious European Union organised “For Diversity Against Discrimination” Journalist Award. His winning entry ‘The persistence of prejudice’ comprised a series of articles about discrimination in Ireland against the Travelling community. In 2009, New Island published his book on the Israeli-Palestine conflict, A Divided Paradise.
Currently based in Dublin as a freelance journalist, Lynch also works for Voice of the Traveller magazine, a publication focused on issues surrounding the Irish Traveller community.
