Allen Foster
Allen Foster was born in Dublin in 1974, and works as a researcher and writer. He previously wrote a biography of the eccentric American, George Francis Train, inspiration for Jules Vernes' classic fictional hero Phileas Fogg. In 2006, New Island published Foster's Irish Oddities to rave reviews, selling over 7,000 copies in less than 6 months. The follow up, Foster's Even Odder Irish Oddities was released in November 2007.
Allen Foster currently lives on a dairy farm in Co. Meath and shares fleas with a small dog called Ziggy.
